Mandy Moore has successfully made the transition from teen pop star to established actress and a mature musician – heck she just married Ryan Adams! Moore has shown that she’s not afraid to make transitions. And it looks like she’s going to through one once again.

Moore has recently announced that she is not interested in starring in any romantic comedies anymore. She said that these movies do not give her the creative fulfillment she craves for. She doesn’t necessarily say what kind of roles she’s gunning for now but we respect her decision. Maybe she wants to the Angeline Jolie path of being great at drama AND action movies.

Travis Barker, drummer for Blnk-182, has settled with Rockstar Beverage Corp. He sued the company for invasion of privacy, unfair competition, and misappropriating his likeness when the company featured his photo with a can of Rockstar, while he was out and about at the 2006 American Music Awards.

According to Travis, the drink maker attempted to “profit on an unauthorized, unlawful use of Mr. Barker’s name, image, persona, likeness and endorsement…for its own commercial gain.”

Rockstars attorneys said Travis, “voluntarily posed for and consented to the taking of the photography at issue” during the AMA ceremony, for which Rockstar served as a sponsor. Furthermore, the drummer allegedly tried to get a deal with them but was turned down.

There’s no avoiding the IRS. If they catch you not paying your taxes, most likely you’ll be going to jail for a very long time. This is what happened to Wesley Snipes.

The tax-dodging actor was recommended by the D.A. to serve a maximum penalty of three years in federal prison and pay a $5 Million fine. It was reported last Monday that the Florida U.S. Attorney, Robert O’Neill , said the actor deserved the harsh sentence for his years of “brazen defiance” and “insidious concealment.”

“This case cries out for the statutory maximum term of imprisonment, as well as a substantial fine, because of the seriousness of defendant Snipes’ crimes and because of the singular opportunity this case presents to deter tax crime nationwide,” O’Neill wrote.

Fergie looks good because she gulps down vinegar.

If some of you guys out there think this is a bit on the yucky side, you’re not alone. However, the Black-eyed Peas singer claims that her trainer told her it was beneficial. She claims that the vinegar flushes out the fat in her colon, assists in digestion, and reduces her food cravings. Well, if you down one, you’re sure to lose your appetite.

She adds a bit of flavoring to make the experience smoother. According to her, she adds two tablespoons of organic apple cider that makes the vinegar swallowing a bit more palatable.

The former Peoples Sexiest Man Alive is not into fashion. Imagine George Clooney’s surprise when he found out he had a clothing line in Milan.

Two people are now under investigation for possible fraud in Milan for attempting to launch a clothing line under his name. The police were able to secure clothing, watches, and fake documents last Wednesday. 

“In the past, one of these people rented out entire hotels claiming that I would be presenting my new fashion line. But of course it is not true,” Clooney, 46, said at a Leatherheads press conference in Rome on Wednesday.

The only thing we can say about these guys: They sure have guts.

According to her interview with The Sun, “I could be in a relationship if wanted to be and felt ready to be, but I’m not. I haven”t finished doing what I’m doing. We haven’t seen Katie Holmes in a while. We actually thought she’s retired from the acting gig. However, according to E! Online, Mrs. Tom Cruise is heading to Broadway to do a revival of Arthur Miller’s Tony-award winning drama, All My Sons.

Holmes is set to play a young and vivacious woman named Ann Deever. Her characters lover disappeared in World War II, and eventually fell in love with the brother. She also holds a secret that involves the patriarch of the family.

In comparison to Nicole Kidman, she also went on Broadway. However, her role required her to do some naked scenes. Thankfully, Arthur Miller’s plays don’t include such things.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor, Sarah Michelle Gellar, has decided to die. Well, her character in her new movie Veronika Decides to Die did.

The story was written by best-selling author, Paulo Coelho (known for The Alchemist). It’s a bout a woman named Veronika, who seems to live a perfect life and decides to commit suicide. However not everything worked out and she went to a mental institution instead. There she was told she had a week to live. What she does after getting that info is the best part of the story.

The role was originally for Kate Bosworth but it didn’t push through, so Sarah gets the part.

Posh Spice is pissed because they say that she was.

Victoria Beckham said she is not jealous of a photo that shows a blonde fan cuddling her hubby soccer superstar, David Beckham. The Brit magazine, Star claimed that Posh was angered by photos of her husband talking to a blonde bombshell.

A spokesman for the missus said, “Hundreds of fans always greet David wherever he goes. It’s no big deal.” From the mister’s side, his rep said, “Fans always come up to him and ask him for a kiss and a cuddle. There is nothing in this whatsoever.”

Best we be all careful of Posh’s anger, eh?

When you’re going out to a restaurant you expect tap water to be free right? Well, Lucy Liu is asking that you pay a buck for it just for one week starting March 17. The Charlie’s Angels star, a UNICEF ambassador personally witnessed the children suffering in Cote d’Ivoire, Africa. The proceeds of the $1 tap will provide the children with purified water.
A buck is all they need. Liu says, “If you go to a restaurant and they’d give you tap water for free, they’re asking you to donate a dollar for the tap water. “One dollar will provide water for 40 children for one day, which is incredible. It’s kind of great – you get to go out and enjoy food with people and you get to give back in such a small and simple way.”
