These people need a change

Here a a few Hollywood personalities that need a boost:

Jessica Alba: We have no issues with her being a mom – in fact, we think she’s doing a swell job. But starring in C-grade horror movies? Come on. From doing the ‘Fantastic Four’, which grossed $281,576,461 worldwide, to a measly $78,807,677 for ‘The Eye’, we think we are not alone in saying that that hot mom isn’t suited for scary movies.

Keanu Reeves: We might have stereotyped him into a sci-fi kind of actor (or maybe he thinks so), but nevertheless, his latest project, ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still‘ leaves much to be desired.

Mike Myers: We all loved him in Austin Powers 1 and 2, tolerated him in 3, loved him again in Shrek, but his latest offering, ‘The Love Guru’ isn’t really something we want to watch. Next please?

Anna Nicole Smith – Pumped full of Juice

annanicoleTranquilizer juice that is, which made her all the more charming. Remember the year or months before her death when she caught the eye of the media, she always seems to be so groggy with answers and gestures that were well kinda’ expected from someone who has her whole body under the control of meds. She slurs and speaks gibberish, and well she was a bit too paranoid all throughout her pregnancy. Her daughter has her looks, just hope it ends there and the pap leaves her to live a normal life as any kid should. Her doctors and for mer love have been charged with drugging her, too bad it took everybody too long to realize it which would have been better when she was alive and kicking.
Her having OD’d might be another tragic ending that would be added to many of Hollywood’s stars, who are victims of too much publicity which has gone too far, far enough to kill them unfortunately. The government should establish laws that protects these people for they are people and when they leave the set, they are indeed just like you and me, who have lives, families and privacy needs to live normally.

Madge’s Marriage Woes

Well, it lasted a couple of years, but Madge seems to be a bit tight on the arrangements that have come out of her much publicized divorce. Rumors have spread that a total of $US 74 Million dollars was the settlement paid to her former husband Guy Richie. As usual, she completely denies this (as if she’s gonna get hurt by that amount) and says news and rumors are too exaggerated. Ever so the Material Girl, she continues to go on tour and graces concerts the world over with her unique style that is her own. Talks on the fate of their children are still in the works and people are seeing a long and painful custody battle with their 500 Pound/hour lawyers handling their affairs. Just hope they get their minds together and decide on what’s best for the children, two of whom they adopted from Africa and Madonna’s eldest living in New York.

Power Ranger
Skylar Deleon, 29 years old, a former child actor, had a part in an episode of a 1990s series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. On Monday he was found guilty of murdering a retired couple by a California judge. It was found that the couple were tied to the anchor of the yacht they owned and were thrown into the sea while they were still alive. The motive was to steal their expensive yacht worth around $ .5 million and their life savings. in a separate incident, he was convicted of another count of murder totaling to 3 murder convictions, and he is facing the death penalty. Deleon and two accomplices namely John F. Kennedy and Alonso Machain apparently set sail with the retirees from the NewPort Harbor last November 2004. They posed as buyers of the yacht. When they were out on the sea, the three stupid criminals overpowered the couple. Forcing them to sign documents for the yacht. After the signing, they tied the couple to the boat’s anchor then, they lowered the anchor to the sea. the bodies are yet to be found. Sick people, very sick people.

Farewell, Dear Paul

They say all good things come to an end. And this week, one or our most beloved iconic screen stars left Hollywood’s constellation. Let us take a moment to remember Paul Newman (1925-2008), one of the older generation’s certified major star. He died at home due to complications arising from cancer.

The younger generation may only know him as the voice of Doc Hudson from the Disney-Pixar movie Cars, since he had retired from film, but he is most remembered for his classic performances like Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, opposite Robert Redford. He is also a genuine philanthropist, founding Newman’s Own, a line of food products that donates all proceeds of the sale to charity. Too, he and wife, actress Joanne Woodward, is hailed as one of the most stellar examples of marriage, having achieved 50 years together, in a world where marriage is often transitory and fleeting.

Good night, sweet prince.

Here comes the Genius

It’s refreshing to see a major feature film that doesn’t back-off from the truth. There’s no sugar-coating on this story, no hiding behind fictitious names. The Ford Motor Company is exposed for its ruthless behavior. The company’s shameful dealings with Kearns back in the 1960s are laid out for all to see and Ford’s name comes out of the film completely muddied.

Greg Kinnear and Lauren Graham in “Flash of Genius.”

I found it incredible how absorbed I was in this story, just because the subject matter didn’t appeal to me at first glance. That same attitude may make the film a tough sale. How many people are just dying to see a movie about windshield wipers? I’m guessing the answer is very few. But Flash of Genius is so much more than a legal drama set in the automotive world. It’s so much more than the story of one man and his invention. This film has plenty to offer and will put audiences through the emotional wringer right along with the main character.
